Meet Alex Scialdone

Father. Neighbor. Candidate

For Webster Town Supervisor.

I’m not a career politician. I’m a father who chose to step back from work so I could step up for my son — and for Webster. I’m running to protect the community I grew up in, so my son — and all our kids — can grow up in the same one.

Through my experience on the Webster Open Space Committee, I have become aware of the many ways our Town continues to underserve its residents by failing to prevent inappropriate development and greenspace loss: our code is outdated, most greenspace initiatives from the 2008 Comprehensive Plan were never implemented by the Town Board, and our current approach to development at a Planning and Zoning level is overly permissive. As Supervisor, I will ensure that the Town amends these failings and protects the quality of life of Webster residents, through the Comprehensive Plan update in 2026 and into the future.

I am running for Town Supervisor for one simple reason: my son. I want him to have the same great Webster experience I did.

One filled with community, quality schools, history and beautiful parks. That future is being threatened by rushed development, rising taxes with a loss of services and decisions being made by cronyism behind closed doors. I am here to change That.

I am a father, a proud Webster resident and a man who believes in putting people over politics. I was raised by single parents who instilled values of compassion, charity and hard work within

Me.

My father, one of my greatest heroes taught me to put good in the world, step outside my comfort zone and do the best I can each day. When he got sick, my wife and I considered it a

privilege to become his caregivers, and when he passed, I made the choice to retire. Not because I was filthy rich, but because I had an opportunity to live simply, get involved in my

community and spend time making things better for my son.

Now I have the time, energy, and commitment to serve this town that I have called home for most my life- to listen, lead, and bring people together in order to leave things better than I

found them.

What Needs to Change
Community Action

Webster is at a crossroads. We’ve watched leadership zigzag from doing too little to doing too much, too fast. Development without vision has left us with higher taxes, an aging population, and declining school enrollment.

We need a new approach — one rooted in sustainable growth, transparency, and long-term planning.

My Vision for Webster

Here’s what I’ll fight for:

  • A moratorium on new building until we have a responsible, community-driven plan

  • Increased green space protection and thoughtful development

  • Better planning for population shifts and school enrollment

  • Budgets that make sense — today, and 5 years from now

  • Transparent communication and community engagement
