Responsible Growth for Webster’s Future

Why I'm Running

One of the biggest concerns I've heard from Webster residents is clear: overdevelopment is changing the character of our Town.

It's one of the main reasons I'm running for Town Supervisor.

I grew up here — and now I'm raising my son here. I want him, and all of our children, to experience the same quality of life that made Webster such a special place for all of us.

But right now, that future is at risk.

As Supervisor, I pledge to change the culture of development to serve all Webster residents, not just those who stand to profit.

The Problem: Unchecked, Unsustainable Development

For too long, the mindset in Webster has been one of presumptive approval — favoring developers over residents. Many assume that more development automatically means financial gain for the Town.

That’s simply not true.

Unchecked development creates real, lasting problems:

Increased Infrastructure Costs

  • New developments strain sewage, highway systems, and schools.

  • Taxes rise to cover these costs — as seen by the tens of millions Webster has had to borrow recently.

Traffic and Overpopulation

  • More people without a sustainable plan means congestion, longer commutes, and overcrowded facilities.

Loss of Greenspace and Quality of Life

  • Webster’s beauty — its parks, trails, and open spaces — is a huge part of what makes this town "Where Life is Worth Living."

  • As undeveloped parcels disappear, we lose the space and natural character that define Webster.

Declining Property Values

  • As quality of life diminishes, so does the value of our homes and neighborhoods.

My Plan: A Smarter Path Forward

As your Supervisor, here’s how I’ll protect Webster’s future:

Implement a Moratorium on New Building

  • Pause future approvals until a responsible, comprehensive plan is in place.

Develop a 5-Year Roadmap for Smart Growth

  • Plan budgets, land use, and infrastructure needs ahead of time — not after problems arise.

Preserve Greenspace and Protect Natural Resources

  • Thoughtful development that respects Webster’s character — not erase it.

Raise Standards for Development Approvals

  • Hold developers to the highest restrictions allowed by Town Code.

  • Prioritize projects that benefit residents, not just profits.

A Town That Serves Its People — Not Developers

It’s time for new leadership.

Our Town, Planning, and Zoning Boards must put residents first, ensuring that any new development is:

  • Controlled

  • Sustainable

  • Responsible

With your support, I will fight to preserve the Webster we love — for ourselves, for our children, and for generations to come.
